Katie Nash is serving her first term as a member of the Board of Aldermen. Prior to joining the Board, she graduated from Hood College (B.A. and MBA), served as a community advocate, and has managed and started non-profit organizations and businesses. Katie currently serves multiple non-profit organizations and is active in her faith community. Her blended home is blessed with her husband, former Alderman Josh Bokee (2013-2017), and children: Spencer, Cade, Liberty, and many adopted pets. As a parent-educator who has studied and worked hard to create a home-based school option, Katie is passionate about expanded learning experiences outside of the classroom. As proud parents of a Cadet, their family is also fortunate to be active in the West Frederick Middle School and Frederick High school communities. Katie and her family love living on the Golden Mile and enjoy the many restaurants, parks, and TransIT lines that are found in the vibrant neighborhoods of the West End.
Katie owns her own state/local government affairs consulting business and is fortunate to work on a variety of policy areas and for a variety of groups. First responders, renewable energy, community development, Vision Zero implementation, (and more) are within her portfolio.
