City Hall

I. A properly advertised special public meeting was held. Alderwoman Young, President Pro Tem, presided. Present were Alderwomen Kelly Russell, Shelley Aloi, and Carol Krimm, and Alderman Michael O’Connor. Also present were City Attorney Saundra Nickols and Legislative Clerk Melanie Kelsall. Mayor Randy McClement was not present.

II. Alderwoman Young led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

III. On a motion made by Alderman O’Connor and seconded by Alderwoman Russell, the Board unanimously approved 5-0 to write off certain accounts deemed to be uncollectible. There were no public comments.

IV. On a motion made by Alderwoman Krimm and seconded by Alderwoman Aloi, the Board unanimously approved 5-0 an inter-departmental budget transfer to balance certain accounts for FY2010. There were no public comments.

V. On a motion made by Alderwoman Krimm and seconded by Alderwoman Russell, the Board unanimously approved 5-0 the 2010 EmPOWER Clean Energy Communities Program Grant (2010-11-331S1) for $90,284.00 from the Maryland Energy Administration and related Grant Agreement.

VI. On a motion made by Alderwoman Russell and seconded by Alderwoman Aloi, the Board unanimously approved 5-0 the appointment of Paula J. Johnson-Boorse and Amanda Haddaway to the Labor Relations Panel with a term of June 23, 2010 to June 22, 2012. On a motion made by Alderman O’Connor and seconded by Alderwoman Krimm, the Board unanimously approved 5-0 the appointment of William R. Nicklas, Jr. to the Labor Relations Panel with a term of June 23, 2010 – June 22, 2012, as mutually agreed by the City and the Fraternal Order of Police.

VII. Public comment was received by Ricky Young regarding the Oversize Vehicle Parking in Residential Areas Ordinance No. G-10-04.

There being no further official business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:33 p.m.
