On 11-05-2012 at approximately 02:34pm members of the Frederick City Police Department responded to the Lucas Village Housing Development for a shots fired call.
On 11-05-2012 the Frederick Police Department was able to positively identify Mr. Tiray Nathaniel Onley as the individual who was responsible for shooting at a subject in the Lucas Village Apartment Complex.
Police responded to the area of Hope Circle and Pennsylvania Avenue for a call of shots fired. During the initial phase of the investigation it was determined that Mr. Onley was involved in a physical altercation with another male. During this altercation Mr.Onley suffered an injury to his shoulder. It is reported that Mr. Onley left the area for a short time, returned, and fired at the victim with a handgun. The victim, and residents living in the coummunity, were not hurt during this gunfire.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division were able to identify Mr. Onley as the shooter. On 11-06-2012 a warrant was obtained for attempted 1st and 2nd degree murder, in addition to a number of other serious criminal offenses. Mr. Onley was located the next day at 1418 Taney Avenue apartment M301 and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Onley was taken to central booking were he is being held on a no bond status. Charges: Attempted 1st @ 2nd degree murder; 1st @ 2nd degree assault; Reckless endangerment; Firearm use during a felony and handgun on person.
