The Frederick Police Department wishes to release the results of compliance checks conducted in partnership with the Frederick County Fire Marshall’s Office and the Frederick County Liquor Board on Thanksgiving Eve.
Compliance checks were conducted in the downtown area of the city from 10:00 PM to 2:30 AM and included establishments licensed to sell alcohol and providing entertainment for patrons.
We are pleased to announce that no significant alcohol violations were observed or reported during the checks. Several locations were found to be over capacity as designated by the fire code, however, the situations were addressed on-the-spot with management and they were quickly brought into compliance without significant disruption to operations.
We would like to thank all business owners and managers, as well as patrons, for their cooperation during this operation and wish to congratulate them for a safe and successful evening.
