The Frederick Police respond to a 12 Year Old girl who reported that two Hispanic males approached her and tried to lure her away from a bus stop as she exited her school bus in the area of Waverly Drive and Key Parkway at approxiimately 1515 hours.
On today's date, at approximately 1800 hours, a Frederick Police Department officer was dispatched to take a report of a suspicious person that had occurred earlier in the day. Officer Skelly met with a 12 year old female student and her parents at the Elmwood Terrace Apartments who wished to report two suspicious males who approached the 12 year old as she exited her bus.
The female student advised as she exited her bus, two males, who she described as Hispanic men and one of which had a mustache approached her and attempted to lure her away from the bus stop. She advised the males told her that they were there to pick her up and that she needed to go with them. The female student felt uneasy and fled from the two males. She was unable to give any further description or any possible vehicle involvements.
Students are asked to be very vigilent of their surroundings and if at all possible, they should walk with a buddy or with a parent. It is also very important that all suspicious activity be reported immediately to the school or a parent in order to have the police respond immediately.
It is important to note that the female student was not touched or harmed in this incident.
