On 11/24/2012 the Frederick Police Department made a 1st degree burglary arrest .
On 11/24/2012 at approximately 10:06 PM, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 300 Blk of Redwood Avenue for a burglary in progress call. Upon arrival at the scene officers located forced entry to two homes and immediately conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect(s). While checking homes near the scene, OFC. Wheeler observed a W/M, later identified as Dove, Jeffrey Allen, attempting to cover his face and leave the area. Once in contact with Dove, OFC. Wheeler could smell the moderate to strong odor of marijuana emitting from his clothing and person. Based on this, Dove was detained and searched. During the search, OFC. Wheeler recovered an eight inch throwing knife from Dove's front pocket. Dove was then placed under arrest for carrying a concealed weapon. While other officers were investigating the burglaries and gathering evidence at the scene, it was determined that Dove was the person responsible acts. At that point, Dove was transported to central booking. At the time of this press release, Dove was waiting to appear before a district court commissioner.
