The Frederick Police Department is investigating a reported attempted abduction in the area of 151 S. east St.
On February 13, 2013, at approximately 0900 hours, the Frederick Police Department responded to 151 S. East St. in Frederick, MD for a reported attempted abduction. Preliminary investigation determined the suspect approached the female victim after she exited her vehicle. The suspect then grabbed her arm and made motion, as if to open the passenger door of his car. The victim pulled away from the suspect and ran towards an occupied building. The suspect then fled the area in his vehicle (pictured below) onto S. East Street. His direction of travel is unknown at this time.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid twenties to early thirties and was wearing blue jeans, a black or dark blue sweatshirt, and dark in color shoes. The suspect fled in what is believed to be a light colored, gold, or tan, older model sedan possibly a 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla. Distinguishing features on the vehicle are the three fender vents (louvers) and the absence of hubcaps.
