2013-009218-Theft Case solved with information provided from Brunswick Police Department-charges are pending
On February 13, 2013, Officer Grigsby responded to the Battery One Inc located in the 400 block of East Patrick Street in reference to a theft which had occurred the day prior. An employee advised Off. Grigsby a white male entered the property and removed a total of 4 used batteries. The employee confronted the male and returned two of the batteries from male. The male left the property with the remaining two batteries (valued at $9.00 each) inside a vehicle. The employee was unable to provide a tag number, however provided a copy of video surveillance from outside the store. Officer Grigsby provided the information to the Crime Analysts’ office and requested the information from the case along with the photo be sent to surrounding jurisdictions requesting assistance with identifying the suspect. The following day Chief Frech from Brunswick Police Department contacted Officer Grigsby with a possible suspect identification. Officer Grigsby completed a photo array including the named subject’s photo provided by Chief Frech. This subject was positively identified by the employee as the offender of the theft. Officer Grigsby completed a charging document and charges are pending for the subject.
