The City of Frederick Seeks To Fill Vacancy on
Zoning Board of Appeals
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick is currently seeking applications from City residents interested in serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The Zoning Board of Appeals has one vacancy for a full member. Members are appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Board of Aldermen, and serve a three-year term. The ZBA generally meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., with a "field trip" the preceding Friday at 3:00 p.m. The ZBA hears and decides applications for variances and conditional uses, as well as appeals of decisions of the zoning administrator or other administrative official in the enforcement of the City's Land Management Code. Each member of the ZBA receives $25.00 per meeting.
