The Frederick Police Department has made an arrest after an investigation this afternoon into a stabbing in the unit block of Waverly Drive.
On 04/24/2013 at approximately 240pm the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported stabbing which just occurred in the unit block of Waverly Drive Frederick MD.
Upon arrival on scene Officers located a male victim who had sustained a wound from an apparent stabbing. The male victim was flown by Maryland State Police Aviation to a regional hospital center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division arrived to assist in the investigation.
Through the course of the investigation a suspect was identified as Savannah Sinclaire Poe DOB 01/21/1996. Officers quickly located Poe at a nearby apartment building. Poe was placed under arrest without incident. Detectives were able to determine that the victim and suspect in this case were known to one another prior to this incident. The assault took place inside of a nearby apartment.
Due to the severity of the assault, Poe is being charged as an adult in this case. Poe is currently awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

On today’s date @1440hrs. Frederick Police Department officers responded to a stabbing in the area of 90 Waverly Dr. Officers located a male suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound. The victim was transported to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown. The names of the victim and suspects are being withheld at this time. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be completed as they become available.
