[ARCHIVED] driver arrested after fleeing from scene of crash, 13-29224

At approximately 0200 hours on 5/11/13, Sgt Stanley was travelling eastbound on W. South St when he observed a vehicle leaving the scene of a collision involving a parked vehicle. As the vehicle turned onto S. Market St, Sgt. Stanley initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. After the vehicle stopped near the intersection of S. Market and Madison Sts, the driver exited and fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody without further incident. No one was injured in the incident and the driver was charged with numerous traffic charges, including:
Driving without a license
Driving revoked
DUI
Hit and Run
Fleeing and eluding
Negligent driving
