On 06/13/2013 the Frederick Police Department responded to a residential burglary complaint in the 1700 block of Jacob Bruner Drive. The victim’s stated, various items were stolen during the burglary.
This case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division for follow-up investigation. Det. J. Garcia was assigned as the primary investigator. During the investigation a suspect was identified as Clifton Bowens.
Through a coordinated effort between the Frederick Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, property from this incident was recovered during the execution of a search and seizure warrant of a motel room occupied by Bowens in Washington County MD.
As a result of the property recovery and investigation Det. Garcia applied for charges in this case. The District Court Commissioner issued an arrest warrant which was subsequently served on Bowens. Bowens is currently incarcerated at the Washington County Detention Center on other charges.
