30th Annual National Night Out
Frederick Police Department is Looking for Community, Civic, and Business Organizations to Participate
FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department is looking for community, civic, and business organizations to participate in the 30th Annual National Night Out Celebration to be held on Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. National Night Out was designed to promote community-police partnerships; crime, drug and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity. Last year’s National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. Over 37 million people participated in National Night Out last year.
This year the Frederick Police Department along with our community partners will be organizing National Night Out in three areas of the city: Woman’s Mill Community, Mullinix Park, and at Carrollton Park.
There will be demonstrations and activities scheduled for the entire family at each location. We are encouraging the business and service community to come out and participate with us by providing information about their business or services. Please contact Michele Bowman at (301) 600-2091 or mbowman@frederickmdpolice.org if you are interested in having your business or community organization participate in National Night Out.
