The Frederick Police Department is encouraging residents to leave their homes and come outside to celebrate National Night Out with us. National Night Out is being held on Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Mullinix Park, Carrollton Park, and in the Wormans Mill Community.
National Night Out was designed to promote community-police partnerships; crime, drug and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity. Last year’s National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. Over 37 million people participated in National Night Out last year.
This year the Frederick Police Department along with our community partners will be holding National Night Out in three areas of the city:
Wormans Mill Community – corner of Stoney Creek Rd & Village Square
Road (Pool)
Mullinix Park - Located on South Bentz Street
Carrollton Park – Located at 455 Center Street
There will be demonstrations and activities scheduled for the entire family at each location. Residents are encouraged to come out and show their support for their community, policing and coordinated anti-crime efforts.
Please contact Michele Bowman at (301) 600-2091 or mbowman@frederickmdpolice.org if you have any questions regarding this year’s National Night Out celebration.
