Potomac Edison Schedules Power Outage in Downtown Frederick
October 23rd & 24th
Frederick, MD – As a reminder, a planned power outage schedule by Potomac Edison will take place on October 23rd and 24th as part of their fuse canister replacement project in the downtown area. The outage is scheduled to begin at 11:00 PM on Sunday, October 23rd and continuing to approximately 8:00 AM on Monday, October 24th weather permitting.
Potomac Edison worked closely with The City of Frederick to schedule a time that would have the least impact on downtown businesses, traffic signals and parking decks.
The outage will affect customers (to be notified with door hangers) at the following locations: \
• North Market Street; 437, 503, 504, 505, 506, 507, 508, 509, 511, 512, 513, 514, 528, 529, 535, 543, 601, 605, 606, 607, 609, 611, 613, 619, 621
• West 6th Street – 9, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 26, 30
• West 5th Street – 1, 3B
Frederick City Police and Emergency Services are aware of the scheduled power outages and will coordinate logistics accordingly.
This major infrastructure project is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year.
