Voters who miss the October 29 mailing deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the City of Frederick General Election on November 5 may still apply in person for a late ballot.

Emergency Absentee Voting Procedures for City of Frederick General Election
Frederick, MD -- Voters who miss the October 29 mailing deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the City of Frederick General Election on November 5 may still apply in person for a late ballot.
Voters who are unable to vote in person on General Election day may come to City Hall in Frederick for an emergency absentee ballot. The office will be open to obtain applications or submit a voted ballot on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Anyone not able to appear in person may designate someone as their agent to deliver the ballot to the voter. The agent must be at least 18 years old and not be a candidate for office on the ballot. The agent must return a completed application to City Hall in order to receive an absentee ballot. The agent then must deliver the ballot to the voter and return the voted ballot to City Hall no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day.
City Hall is located at 101North Court Street, Frederick.
For more information, call the City’s Board of Supervisors of Elections at 301-600-2575 weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., or visit the City of Frederick website at www.cityoffrederick.com, and click on the link on the left that reads “City Election”. The application will be listed on the Elections page.
