On 03/13/2014 at approximately 2307 hours, the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported assault in progress at the shopping center located at 45 Waverly Drive.
Frederick Police Department Street Crimes Unit Makes Arrest in Robbery
On 03/13/2014 at approximately 2307 hours, the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported assault in progress at the shopping center located at 45 Waverly Drive. Upon arriving police learned that the victim had gone to the store with a friend and was waiting in the vehicle outside when he was approached by a male. The male, who was later identified as Bryan Gerardo Corrales Rojas W/M 19 of Frederick, asked the victim for money. When the victim refused to give him money, Rojas assaulted the victim and attempted to take his cell phone and reach into the victim’s pants pockets. OFC Gregory Loftis, of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, then conducted an investigation and was able to identify Bryan Corralles Rojas as the suspect and filed for charges against him. A warrant for his arrest was issued by the District Court Commissioner of Frederick County and Patrol units were able to take him into custody the next morning . He was arrested without incident and processed at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center awaiting an initial appearance.
