A Frederick, MD woman has been arrested and charged in regards to a stabbing...
On 03/30/2014 at approximately 0733 hours the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported injured person at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Officers arrived on scene and located a victim of an assault who stated he had been stabbed.
Det. Putman with the Criminal Investigation Division was assigned as the lead investigator in the case. Det. Putman quickly determined that a domestic related assault had occurred. A crime scene was located within a residence located in the 900 block of Young Place. The subsequent investigation conducted by Det. Putman revealed that the victim and his girlfriend, Carmen Victoria Ramos, were involved in a domestic dispute which led to an attack on the victim.
During the attack a struggle ensued which ultimately led to Ramos stabbing the victim. Ramos fled the scene and was not located at the time of the initial report. Based on the findings of the investigation Det. Putman applied for charges against Ramos with the District Court Commissioner’s Office. An arrest warrant was issued for Ramos charging her with the offenses listed below.
On 04/08/2014 Ramos was taken into custody at the Frederick Police Department and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
