A Frederick man has been arrested and charged with assault following a fight at a local bar/restaurant.
On 05/05/2014 at 1:16 AM the Frederick Police Department responded to a local bar/restaurant located in the 300 Block of North Market Street for a reported assault. As officers arrived a victim was located who had been hit in the head with a bottle.
During the assault, the suspect pulled a handgun from his waistband. After the assault the suspect fled from the scene. Det. Trapp was assigned as the primary investigator to conduct the follow-up investigation. Det. Trapp was able to quickly identify the suspect as Larnell Tyran Lyles.
On 05/26/2014 Det. Trapp submitted an application for statement of charges to the District Court Commissioner. The District Court Commissioner issued an arrest warrant charging Lyles with the below listed offenses. Lyles was located on 05/26/2014 at 1306 hours in the 1400 Block of Key Parkway and arrested without incident.
Lyles was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he was being held on $100,000 bond Monday afternoon.
