On 5/27/14 at about 8:18 PM, an undercover officer of the Frederick Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit arranged to purchase a quantity of heroin from a suspected dealer. This operation was developed subsequent to intelligence gathered from ongoing heroin investigations in Frederick. At the direction of the dealer, the undercover officer went to the parking lot of a New Market business. After the officer purchased a quantity of suspected heroin, other officers moved in to take the suspect into custody.
