Officers from the Frederick Police Department arrested a juvenile after he robbed a subject of his bicycle and shoes.
On 09/29/2014 at approximately 9:30PM, officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the area of the 100 block of South Market Street. Upon contact with the victim, officers learned the victim had his bike stolen by the suspect. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s shoes. Through the course of his investigation, OFC Constantine identified the juvenile suspect and took him into custody on 09/30/2014 for processing. The juvenile was transported to the Western Maryland Children’s Center pending a court hearing.
Due to the suspect’s age, his identification is being withheld at this time.
Charges for armed robbery, robbery, two counts of theft less than $1,000.00, and second degree assault, will be forwarded through the Department of Juvenile Justice. All events occurred in Frederick MD.
