On today's date, 02-14-12, at approximately 2100 hours, OFC K. Jones and OFC R. Wharton observed a subject they knew to be involved in CDS violations at the Motel 6 on previous occassions to be back on that property acting suspiciously again tonight. When the subject, later identified as Michael Evan Brown (see below), began to leave the parking lot, OFC Jones and OFC Wharton contacted him. A canine Officer, OFC W. Milyard, and his canine JOKER were called to the scene. OFC Milyard's canine conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and JOKER alerted to the presence of a controlled dangerous substance from within the vehicle. Mr. Brown was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of Crack Cocaine and paraphernalia. After he was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center's Central Booking Unit, OFC Wharton and OFC Milyard and Sgt. Trapp knocked on the exterior room in which Mr. Brown was initially observed exiting. The occupants, Mr. Cameron and Ms. Brehm, were inside and allowed the officers inside. The officers were able to locate a quantity of crack cocaine and paraphernalia on the bedside table inside the room, which was being rented by Mr. Cameron. Both Mr. Cameron and Ms. Brehm were arrested for possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia and also taken to the FCADC's Central Booking Unit for processing.
