[ARCHIVED] Arrest Made in Monday Morning Shots Fired Incident (CID) (Updated)

Frederick Police have made an arrest in the Monday morning shots fired incident...

On Tuesday, April 20, 2015, at approximately 11:26 AM, Frederick Police Officers responded to the 1800 block of Green Spring Place Frederick Maryland for a report of gunshots being fired in the area.

As Officers were responding to the scene several people were seen running from the area and were stopped by officers. Detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation. This case was assigned to Det. Putman for the subsequent follow-up investigation.

Through that follow-up investigation Det. Putman determined that one of the people who were stopped by police, Percy Tolson, was in fact the suspect who had discharged a firearm. A handgun was located in close proximity to Tolson.

The investigation revealed that an altercation took place involving Tolson and another person. Following that altercation Tolson fired a handgun in the area. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of this shooting incident.

Tolson was arrested and is being charged as an adult with the below listed offenses. At the time of this release a photo of Tolson was unavailable.
