On 09-25-2015, at approximately 5:49 PM, OFC Marvin Cox was on uniform patrol when he observed a black Ford Mustang traveling the wrong way in the 1st block of E Patrick St toward oncoming traffic.
On 09-25-2015, at approximately 5:49 PM, OFC Marvin Cox was on uniform patrol when he observed a black Ford Mustang traveling the wrong way in the 1st block of E Patrick St toward oncoming traffic. OFC Cox activated his emergency lights and attempted to contact the driver of the Mustang. Instead of stopping the vehicle veered to the shoulder and struck a parked car. OFC Cox tried to get the driver of the Mustang to stop however the driver then drove in reverse striking OFC Cox’s patrol vehicle. After striking the patrol vehicle the Mustang continued to drive in reverse striking a 2nd parked vehicle. After striking the 3rd vehicle the mustang began to drive forward again toward the sidewalk causing bystanders to flee in fear of being struck. OFC Cox was finally able get the driver of the Mustang to stop and additional police officers responded to assist with placing the driver under arrest.
The driver was identified as Nerville Bama Noe (DOB 3-10-94) of Windsor Mill, Maryland. Noe was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with Driving Wrong Direction on One Way Road, Unsafe Backing of Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Stop After Accident Involving Damage to Another Vehicle.
No one was injured as a result of the vehicle collisions.
