On today's date the Frederick Police Department arrested two people on CDS charges from a traffic stop.
On Saturday March 10, 2012 at approximately 0034 hours Officer Keeran of the Frederick Police Department was in the area of East Patrick Street and North East Street when he observed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit. Officer Keeran initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Upon contacting the occupants Officer Keeran immediately detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officer Keeran located a quantity of suspected marijuana on the passenger, later identified as Zavala, Javier (H/M/6-22-92). Another quantity of suspected marijuana was located in a bag that belonged to the driver, later identified as Droneburg, Erin Leigh (W/F/11-25-92). The driver was subsequently arrested as well. Both Droneburg and Zavala were transported to central booking where they were awaiting a hearing before a district court commissioner.
