UPDATE - Traffic Advisory – Traffic Signal Non-Operational at Monocacy Blvd./East Church St./Schifferstadt Blvd. Intersection
UPDATE – January 11, 2016 - The Department of Public Works Light and Signal Departments installed a temporary signal and stop bar at the Monocacy Boulevard, East Church Street, Schifferstadt Boulevard intersection. The traffic signal at this location is back to normal operation. The temporary stop bar is located on Schifferstadt Boulevard headed south bound.

Frederick, MD – January 8, 2016: Traffic Signal @ Monocacy Blvd./East Church St./Schifferstadt Blvd. Intersection: Motorists and pedestrians are advised that due to an accident at the Monocacy Blvd./East Church St./Schifferstadt Boulevard intersection, the traffic control signals are non-operational.
Three sides of the four way intersection have flashing red lights and the forth side
(Shifferstadt Boulevard) has temporary stop signs. The Schifferstadt Boulevard side will also has a variable message sign indicating “signal out ahead”.
This intersection should be treated as a four way stop until temporary/permanent repairs can be made. Motorist and pedestrians are advised to proceed with extreme caution when navigating this area.
