Officers of the Frederick Police Department Patrol Division initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of the Carroll Park Manor subdivision late in the evening on 01/21/2016. The driver, later identified as Jawan Eugene Jackson, immediately exited the vehicle and began to walk away. 2 Passengers also exited the vehicle at this time, identified as Kendyle Nicole Wilson and Jaron Corte Brown Jackson. Jawan and Jaron then fled the scene in different directions and the vehicle later fled the scene. The vehicle was found nearby being driven by Wilson. When officers approached the vehicle they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Wilson was placed under arrest and the vehicle was searched. A small amount of marijuana and prescription pills were recovered from the vehicle. Members of the Frederick Police Department Street Crimes Unit arrived in the area and located Jaron. Jaron was found to be in possession of 2 handguns, both of which were reported as stolen, as well as marijuana and prescription pills. Wilson and Jaron were later transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for further processing. Jawan was not located and charges are currently pending.

Charges: Speeding, Failure to stop at a stop sign, driving without a license, 2 counts of fleeing and eluding.
