On 01/24/2016 at approximately 1:24 PM, officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to a 911 call in the 2400 block of Lakeside Drive. Upon arrival, Officer Alvarez located a female victim lying in her bed and she was dizzy and disoriented. The victim told officers she was unable to recall what happened at that time. Her husband advised officers that his wife had fallen down the stairs. The female was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment to her head..
On 01/25/2016, Officer Alvarez continued his investigation with the victim at FMH. The victim recalled the incident and remembered having an argument with her husband, and trying to go up a flight of stairs to get away from him, when he (Gregory Bartoletti) pulled her down the stairs. Family members witnessed some of the incident, but were instructed not to tell the police. Based on this information, officers then re contacted Bartoletti at his residence and took him into custody without incident. Bartoletti was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing.
The victim sustained a significant injury to her spine and minor injuries to her head.
