Yard Waste Collection Tips and Hints
________________________________________________________________________
Frederick, MD – The City of Frederick would like to remind citizens of these tips and hints for yard waste collection as you prepare your yards for spring! Please keep the following in mind:

? Weeds, leaves, plants, grass, bushes, and branches less than six inches in diameter and less than seven feet can be collected.
? Edible products from the garden, yard, lawn, or landscaped area; all tree/shrub waste over six inches in diameter or seven feet in length; pavement, soil, sod or rocks cannot be collected.
? All yard waste should be set out in containers 35 gallon or less and/or biodegradable bags. The full containers weight cannot exceed 50 pounds. Loose items such as leaves, branches, trimmings, weeds, and flowers must be in containers and/or biodegradable bags. Plastic bags are not allowed.
? All yard waste items should be placed curbside after 5 pm the evening before your pick up day – our crews operate from 2:00 am to 10:00 am – therefore it is important to put your items out the evening before.
