The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team arrested a man and woman for heroin, cocaine and related paraphernalia
On 03-08-2016, officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of 343 Field Point Boulevard, in Frederick City.
Officers contacted the occupants of the vehicle and observed paraphernalia related to the usage of heroin in plain view. Based on the observations of the officers, both occupants were placed under arrest and identified as, James Alfred Underwood 4th and Hilary Patricia Rimel.
During a search of Underwood, officers located a syringe, used for the injection of heroin, on his person. During a search of the vehicle Underwood and Rimel were observed in, officers located a soda can with heroin residue, a makeshift tourniquet used during the injection process and an additional syringe. Additionally, in the purse of Rimel, a straw containing suspected cocaine was recovered.
Underwood and Rimel were transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
