On today's date the Frederick Police Department arrested a subject for a stolen tag, along with CDS charges and a warrant.
On Wednesday March 21, 2012 at approximately 1524 OFC Pyon of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1300 block of North East Street for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and discovered that the vehicle displayed a registration plate that was reported stolen in Frederick County. As officers were watching the vehicle two subjects approached it. Officers moved in and OFC Wolf noticed that one of the subjects, later identified as Davis, Matthew Wayne (W/M/1-15-1984) was carrying keys for the vehicle displaying the stolen registration plate. Officers questioned the subjects and discovered that Davis carrying the keys had an open warrant through the Frederick Police Department for failing to appear (original charge was driving on a suspended license). Officers arrested Davis for the warrant and during a search incident to arrest located a narcotic pill on his person. Further investigation revealed that Davis was the regular operator of the vehicle in question and in fact the vehicle belonged to a family member. Davis was transported to central booking where he was awaiting a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. Below is the arrestee’s information and charges:
