Four charged in Home Invasion
FREDERICK, MD – On 5/6/2017 at approximately 0208 hours Officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to 1000 Heather Ridge Dr. for a report of a Home Invasion. Upon arriving to the area, Patrol Officers observed a male fitting the description running from the area and the were able to stop and detain this individual. This individual is a juvenile and his name is not being released at this time.
Through this investigation Officers were able to obtain surveillance footage for the incident. This surveillance footage clearly showed 4 individuals were involved. It also showed that they appeared to have taken shelter in another apartment building in the same complex. While conducting a canvass of that building the remaining three suspects were taken into custody without incident. One of the remaining 3 was also a juvenile.
All four individuals were taken to FPD HQ for questioning. After being interviewed the adult suspects were taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and are awaiting to be seen by a District Court Commissioner. The juveniles were transported to a juvenile facility in the area. They are charged with the following;
