Frederick, MD.-On 08/24/2017 at approximately 11:34 p.m., officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 300 Blk of West Patrick Street for a vehicle collision involving a bicyclist. Upon arrival, officers located all parties involved. At that same time, EMS personnel arrived on scene and began to treat the struck bicyclist who was conscious and alert. Based on the collision and complaint of pain by the victim, the victim was transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
Due to the nature of the collision, the 300 Blk of West Patrick Street was shut down for approximately thirty minutes and then re-open for normal vehicular traffic. Since this is an open investigation, the names of the persons involved are not being released at this time. Lastly, the injuries to the victim are not thought to be life threatening.
