Frederick Police have apprehended the suspect from an armed robbery that occurred earlier today, December 15th. Officers initially responded for an armed robbery call in the 300 block of North Market Street in Frederick at approximately 2:15 pm. At that time the victim reported he was approached by the suspect about buying a phone. The suspect then took two phones belonging to the victim and threatened the victim with a weapon. Investigators were able to identify the suspect as Troyvonte Camaar Burns, of Frederick.
Later, at approximately 8:00 pm, officers from the Frederick Police Street Crimes Team observed Burns in the area of the 500 block of Klinehart's Alley. After a brief pursuit, Burns was taken into custody. Relating to this case, Burns is charged with the below listed crimes. This case remains open and the investigation is on-going at this time.
