A traffic stop leads to a Search and Seizure Warrant for the Frederick Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit.
On this date members of the Frederick Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit were conducting surveillance in the 2500blk. Shelley Circle. Officers observed a drug suspect exit the building and enter into his vehicle. Officers observed a motor vehicle violation and a traffic stop was initiated. Officers contacted the driver who was later identified as Sean Orlowski. A police K-9 was on scene and a sniff of the vehicle was conducted. The police K-9 positively alerted officers to the presence of CDS emanating from the vehicle.
Orlowski was placed under arrest due to the positive K-9 sniff. He was searched incident to arrest and no CDS was located on his person. As officers searched the vehicle, officers located a bag with suspected marijuana and a coat with suspected marijuana inside the trunk of the vehicle. The passenger who was identified as Ryan small was also placed under arrest. A search of Small was conducted and officers located additional marijuana on his person.
The investigation continued and a search and seizure warrant was issued for the residence of Orlowski. Officers located additional marijuana and paraphernalia during the execution of the search warrant. Both suspects were transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. Both suspects were charged with the same offenses.
