[ARCHIVED] Personal Injury Accident

Frederick Police investigate a personal injury accident.

On August 3, 2018 at 1657 hours, the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of Monocacy Boulevard and Laurel Wood Way for a personal injury accident involving a tractor-trailer truck and a sports utility vehicle.  Both drivers were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The result of the accident caused the roadway to be closed in both directions due to a hazmat spill.  The roadway was closed for approximately 2 1/2 hours until both vehicles were removed and the roadway was cleaned up.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
