The Frederick Police Department, working in cooperation with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, is notifying citizens about a suspicious incident that was reported earlier today. A Frederick High School student contacted the School Resource Officer at her school to report that on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at approximately 4:00 p.m., while walking in the area of Carroll Parkway near Baker Park she observed a vehicle drive by her location several times. The student advised that the vehicle then stopped near her and the driver asked for directions to the bowling alley. The driver then continued to ask the student if she went to the school and made additional inappropriate comments. The vehicle then drove away and left the area.
The school administration along with other schools in the area have been notified of the incident and a message has been sent to the parents of these schools. The Frederick Police Department and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office will be working together to provide an increased law enforcement presence in the area.
