On today's date, the Frederick Police Department arrested two security guards after they assaulted a patron at the Mi Casa Restaurant.
On 05/20/2012 at approximately 12:08AM, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the Mi Casa Restaurant, located at 50 North McCain Drive in reference to disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, officers learned a H/M victim was assaulted by two security guards in the parking lot approximately twenty feet away from the business and not on the property for which they were assigned. Further, officers observed the victim was placed in handcuffs by the security guards illegally as they stood over him and detained him without authority. As police further interviewed witnesses and the victim, they learned the victim did not receive any type of first aid, while he was handcuffed. Police observed the victim bleeding heavily from the facial area and spitting blood. The security guards were both placed under arrest and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
The victim was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital after sustaining a broken nose and minor facial injuries. He was released from FMH approximately two hours later.
