The City of Frederick is committed to providing uninterrupted essential services to our residents. As we reopen, many of the virtual services will remain in addition to in-person options. Thank you for your continued flexibility and communication.

CITY FACILITIES

  • City buildings are open to the public with optional mask usage. 

PUBLIC MEETINGS

  • Mayor and Board Meetings are in person and open to the public with occupancy limits. Quasi-judicial and non-quasi judicial board meetings are scheduled to be back in person April 1. 

BILLS & CITATION PAYMENTS

  • Due dates for City bills, permits, licensures, and citations are extended to thirty days after the City State of the Emergency ends. The State of Emergency remains in place at this time.

A note regarding Employee and Workforce Safety


Since the inception of COVID 19 being declared as a national and global threat to the public, the City of Frederick has taken multiple steps to protect the public, critical services, and the workforce.  While consistently following all CDC state and local health department guidelines and regulations, The City of Frederick has adopted the following operational procedures:

  • Creation of a pandemic Incident Management Team
  • Daily employee screenings are available 24 hours a day 
  • Robust contact tracing 
  • Creation of departmental policies regarding employee engagement with the public, city staff, and contractors
  • Continued partnership and communication with Frederick County Health Officers 
  • Procurement and deployment of Personal Protective Equipment 
  • Procurement and deployment of sanitization equipment for facilities, equipment, and vehicles
  • Frequent communication and guidance on all exposure-related mitigation 
  • Facilitated vaccination clinics to increase vaccination rates for both the community and employees

The Mayor, City of Frederick Risk Safety and Compliance Department, and all City Staff are and will remain committed to the health, safety, and well-being of The City of Frederick during this difficult time.
