City and Downtown Frederick Partnership Launch Curbside Parking Zones to Support Restaurant Carryout

Parking Zones will be in place by 4 PM today, March 17, 2020

To support The City of Frederick’s restaurants during state-mandated dining room closures, the City, in partnership with Downtown Frederick Partnership, is establishing “curbside pickup parking zones.” These zones, which will be in place by 4 PM, will be located throughout Downtown Frederick. Residents may park in these zones for 10 minutes to receive their carryout orders from local restaurants and operations. No meter payment is necessary.

Yesterday, Governor Larry Hogan issued an amended executive order to close all bars and restaurants in the state, as well as fitness centers, spas, and theaters due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The order allows for restaurants to continue carry-out, drive-thru, and delivery services and allows for eateries in health care facilities to remain open.

The City of Frederick is committed to the health and safety of residents and our City workforce. To stay up to date on the City’s response, please visit or our social media channels.
