Feb. 5, 2021: The Frederick Police Department is seeking community assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl.
The department received a missing persons report for Janiya Dejanaee Jones, 16, on Feb. 3, 2021 after Jones' mother saw her leave their residence in the 500 block of Ellrose Ct. at approximately 6:20 p.m.
Jones is black female, about 5’09” tall and 150 lbs. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white colored Tommy Hilfiger jacket and red sweat pants. Foul play is not suspected in this case. Intel suggests Jones may possibly be in the area of Staghorn Ave.
