On 02/11/21, patrol officers with the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to an alarm call at a business. Upon arrival, officers found that the business’s front door had been broken in and cash had been stolen from the business.
On 02/11/2021, at approximately 3:19 am, patrol officers with the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to an alarm call at a business in the 100 block of South Market St. Upon arrival, officers found that the business’s front door had been broken in and cash had been stolen from the business. The case was then assigned to a detective with the Street Crimes Unit to investigate.
As a result of the investigation, Michael Shawn Cole (09/12/1975), was identified as the suspect. On 03/12/2021, members of the Street Crimes Unit served a search and seizure warrant at Cole’s residence. During the search warrant, officers recovered additional evidence linking Cole to the burglary. Cole was charge via Criminal Summons with 2nd Degree Burglary, Theft $100 to $1,500 and Malicious Destruction of Property.
