FPD investigates intentional vehicle striking of two pedestrians

Public Safety Alert

At approximately 11:45 a.m. Thursday, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1100 Block of Key Parkway for a reported pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.  

Through the course of the investigation, FPD determined the incident to be intentional. A female suspect driving a 2017 Jeep Cherokee in a parking lot of an apartment complex intentionally drove her car and hit two males. At this time, is appears the males sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and have been transported to an area hospital.  

This is an active and ongoing investigation. Frederick Police Department has a suspect and is working to locate her before identifying her. The victims and the suspect appear to be known to each other. The department does not believe there is a threat to the public at this time.
