The Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest of a man who assaulted and stabbed two victims…
On Wednesday Sept. 8, 2021, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to 90 Waverley Drive for a stabbing.
Upon arrival, investigators learned the suspect was known to the two victims and they were inside of an apartment when an altercation occurred. During the altercation, the suspect struck two adult male victims with a baseball bat and used broken glass to stab/cut them multiple times before fleeing the area.
The suspect was identified as, Aaron William Alston Abrecht. Several officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division located Abrecht nearby and, after attempting to flee from officers, he was taken into custody. Abrecht was later transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC) for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner, where he is being held without bond.
The victims were treated for their wounds at an area hospital and are in stable condition. Based on the information gathered through this investigation, it is being handled as an isolated incident between known associates.
