Per Ordinances G-21-18, G-21-19, and G-21-20, the City's Pop Up Dining Program, which includes parklets, parking lot use, and expanded food truck opportunities will end on Sunday, October 31, 2021. The program was extended in September 2021 by the Board of Aldermen to provide continued support to local restaurants as the City's pandemic recovery continues. Parklet removal is scheduled for Monday, November 1st, and may cause lane closures and minimal delays for traffic in the downtown area in the morning.
The City's Economic Development and Building Departments continue to work with restaurants to discuss other outdoor dining options available at this time. Additionally, more information will be coming soon regarding long-term possibilities for the downtown streetscape.
The City thanks all for the support of the Pop Up Dining program over the last 18 months and encourages the community to continue its support of local restaurants and retailers.
Please note that the City's State of Emergency remains in effect per Mayor Michael O'Connor. Please continue to practice safe measures as the community remains in high COVID-19 transmission.
