2

On Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, the Frederick Police Department will assist with road closures for the Kris Kringle Parade in downtown Frederick, which will cause significant delays for drivers.

The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and road closures will begin at 5:15 p.m. Carroll Street from South St. to East Patrick St. and West All Saints St. from Market St. to North East St. will be closed to all traffic starting at 5:15 p.m.  South Market St. at All Saints St. to North Market St at West Second St. and West 2nd St. to College Ave will be closed to all traffic starting approximately 6:10 p.m. Additional side streets and roadways will be closed surrounding the route.

With the road closures, drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible until approximately 7:30 p.m.

A visual of the parade route can be found here.

Procession participants will be lining up on Carroll St. between East All Saints St. and East Patrick St. between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. The Frederick Police Department recommends entering South East St. via the East St. Extension or E. South St. Make a left onto E. All Saints St. (Pass Required) and pull your vehicle past the parking lots on your left and right, unload (or park in the deck) and exit quickly left onto Carroll Street.

In the event of inclement weather, the procession may be cancelled. It will not be possible to postpone it to another date.  For cancellation information, check the following:
