At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 100 Block of Routzahn’s Way for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, investigators located one male victim, later identified as Jaion Antonio Penamon, who had been shot multiple times. Penamon was pronounced deceased at the scene.

That individual is currently in police custody, but will not be identified publicly unless an arrest is made and charges are filed.
