The Frederick Police Department has identified and arrested a man who committed multiple commercial robberies
During June and July, The Frederick Police responded to a total of three robberies that occurred at the same 7-Eleven convenience store, located at 204 Amber Drive. The dates of the robberies were June 4th, June 25th, and July 7th. The cases were assigned to Detective McPeak of the Major Crimes Unit to investigate.
Based on the appearance of the suspect and the method by which the robberies were conducted, detectives believed that the same suspect was responsible for all three incidents. Information on the suspect was disseminated to other members of the department and, on July 8th, OFC Linehan located a subject that appeared to match the description of the person committing the robberies. OFC Linehan identified that subject as, Ruddie David Janish 2nd (05-02-1991).
Based upon the information that OFC Linehan had discovered and other evidence that Det. McPeak had obtained during his investigation, detectives served a search & seizure warrant at Janish’s residence in the 1000 block of Heather Ridge Drive. During the search of the residence, detectives located items linking Janish to all three robberies.
Det. McPeak placed Janish under arrest and transported him to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC) for processing. Det. McPeak charged Janish with 3 counts of Robbery and 3 counts of 2nd Degree Assault. Janish is currently being held at the jail with no bond.
