The Frederick Police Department is conducting a death investigation from the shooting that occurred on October 15, 2022
At 10:38 a.m. on October 15, 2022, officers of the Frederick Police Department (FPD) responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment at 90 Waverley Drive in Frederick, Maryland. Officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived on scene. EMS subsequently transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as 14-year-old Kaimani Andre Dove.
Officers quickly determined that this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community. At this time, the investigation is ongoing as investigators work to determine the nature of the shooting.
