The Frederick Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted robbery. Please see the photos attached to this press release.
ARREST UPDATE 07/17/2012:
On 07/17/2012 Detective Morgan obtained information from the community and was able to identify the suspect in this case. The suspect has been identified as a W/M/17 year old juvenile. The suspect was located in the unit block of S Market Street by Detective Morgan and arrested without incident.

On 06-28-2012 at 10:24pm the McDonalds restaurant located at 423 South Jefferson Street was the victim of an attempted robbery. An employee of the restaurant stated that a white male approached the counter and passed a note demanding money. The employee, after receiving the note, acted confused and appeared to not understand. The suspect became agitated, grabbed the note and left the business with no money.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt with a white picture on the front. Please call Det.
